Our Holy Union
The First Unitarian Church

The First Unitarian Church in San Jose, California.

The Church And Our Minister
Our ceremony originally was planned for the The First Unitarian Church in San Jose, California. Unfortunately, the beautiful old historical building was badly damaged in a fire about a month before our ceremony was to take place. Because of the fire damage, we were without a church for our ceremony that was now a little over a month away.

Fortunately, we had arranged for the reception at the Sunnyvale Community Center, so we decided to hold the ceremony there too. However, at that late date, the only place large enough to accommodate us was a charming outdoor setting by the Center's water fountains. Since our ceremony was in November, we were very nervous that it may rain. But the weather held, and on a beautiful, but somewhat cool, Autumn Day our Holy Union was held outdoors at the Sunnyvale Community Center.
