Project description:

The Advanced strategies for genotype imputation project aims to investigate new methods for imputation from genotype data. The goals of the project are to (1) evaluate imputation accuracy across software packages, reference panels, and populations; (2) develop new methods for imputation, particularly in admixed populations; (3) improve imputation accuracy for rare variants; (4) devise an approach for selecting individuals whose genome sequences can serve as imputation templates in custom reference panels. The project is a collaboration among labs at the University of Michigan, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Stanford University.
