Dances from Northern Chile
To the north Chile reaches the Atacama Desert, the dryest desert in the world, and its dances and music merge with the culture of the Andes. Bolivia, Peru, northern Chile and northern Argentina all show features of the same music. Festive and communal dances such as sayas, trotes, huaynos, taquiraris and cacharpayas are all rythms and dances that are typical of the andes.
