Adaptive learner training

Background:  

Research question:  Does adaptive training in tool use (e.g., word glosses, grammar references, culture notes, audio support of text, translation) lead to

            1.  a change in navigation through the lessons;

            2.  greater use of tools after training;

            3.  improved attitude toward lessons;

            4.  increased posttest scores?
