I. Discussion: Randall's Cyber Listening LabHomework (for 10/6): Go to www.esl-lab.com. Spend at least 30 minutes on one or two exercises there. In choosing the exercises, think about what you are trying to accomplish (your objective) and how you can do that most effectively with the material on this site. Keep notes on how you go through the exercise and be prepared to discuss your experience in class on Thursday.

Homework (for 10/9):

1) Listen to the rest of  Part I the Hillier lecture at http://polyglot.stanford.edu:16080/efs_lectures/lecture1_pt1.html. Be sure to pause and repeat as needed. Take good notes and bring those notes to class. I will give a test in class Tuesday--you may use your notes for the test.

2) Go to www.esl-lab.com. Spend at least 45 minutes on two or more exercises there. Send me a report (efs@stanford.edu) no later than 6:00 PM Monday 10/8 using the sample format below.
