| You can see the real window at 1260 Sixth Avenue in San Francisco, just
south of Golden Gate Park on Sixth Avenue, three doors
south of Hugo Street. It is next to the front door
and is approximately 20" X 30". I made this Art Noveau window specifically for
the Edwardian home at this location after the original leaded glass window was destroyed
by the 1989 earthquake.
This new window was encased in an especially strong frame and vacuum sealed between two pieces of tempered non-glare glass. The background is iridize glass so that it allows in the light, but obscures the view of the interior of the home from those outside to maintain privacy. It especially beautiful from the exterior when it is lit from the interior at night. |
