My main extracurricular activity is ultimate frisbee. I founded an Open team called Discus Fluid in the summer of 1992. It morphed to Black Mountain in the fall of 1995 and disbanded after the 1996 season. I am now retired from Open play and my only semi-organized play is with pickup at Greer Park in Palo Alto.

Other sports include windsurfing, mostly at Leo Ryan Lagoon in Foster City with California Windsurfing, & rollerblading, mostly around the linac at SLAC.

National Parks

It has been a goal to hike all the western US (including Hawaii and maybe Alaska) National Parks We have been to all the continental US and Hawaii NPs west of Texas, except for a couple in Washington state. I highly recommend Glacier NP in Montana.

Stained Glass

I started  making stained glass in Oct '96, taking classes from the Evergreen Stained Glass shop in Burlingame. I'm now under the tutelage of Gene Mayo of Stained Glass Images in San Carlos. Stained glass is beginning to rival ultimate as my main extra-curricular activity!
