Lamborghini Miura Restoration Log

Week 14, 6 June 2007

Restoration, Week 14: The car went to the body shop and was dismantled further, which has of course revealed more serious rust. It is now at the media blaster's getting completely blasted so that repairs can begin. The rebuilt starter and alternator are back so we have more pretty new parts! The headers have been blasted and repaired and are out for ceramic coating. The strut assemblies have been disassembled and the Konis are leaving to be rebuilt. The new valves and JE pistons are done and engine pre assembly work is to begin within the next few weeks. The brake calipers are disassembled and are being resleeved.
