I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where I work with Ashish Goel. I received my BSc in Electrical Engineering at Caltech, where I worked with Jehoshua Bruck.
My thesis focus is on the design of algorithms and systems for large group decision-making. Two specific aspects I have worked on include understanding why people polarize and designing consensus mechanisms for large groups that converge to "the wisdom of the crowd".
Another of my research interests is in randomness, computation, and biology. I am interested in the power of randomness for the design of algorithms and the study and design of computational frameworks that are inspired by biology. Specifically, I have recently been interested in computation using urn models.
