I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where I work with Ashish Goel. I received my BSc in Electrical Engineering at Caltech, where I worked with Jehoshua Bruck.
My thesis focus is on applying insights from dispute resolution, psychology, and social choice to the design of algorithms and systems for large group decision-making. More generally, I am interested in understanding why people polarize, and how to bring them together to collaborate or make common decisions.
Another of my research interests is in randomness, computation, and biology. I am interested in the power of randomness for the design of algorithms and the study and design of computational frameworks that are inspired by biology. Specifically, I have recently been interested in computation using urn models.
