Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park

This park is a lovely place to stop while driving along the coast, to stretch your legs and get even more spectacular views of the coastline. The view here happens to have been from the front of someone's house (insert envy here); the house and surrounding terraces were damaged in an earthquake and are off-limits, but the view remains.

Another stunning view from the boardwalk that wraps around the rocky coastline. Here the circular polarizing filter works wonders taking the glare off the water, leaving only a deep blue green pool. Also see the larger (358K) version.
