SF, and Northward

Just on the south side of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts is a pleasant landmark to take a short walk about, and also houses the hands-on science museum, the Exploratorium.

The coastline up and down Highway 1, certainly from Point Reyes northward to San Luis Obispo southward, and most likely points beyond, is great fun; waves crashing into rocks, cliffsides, tidal pools....
