Alcazar, Seville -- Interior

Interior detail
An interior detail from the Hall of the Ambassadors in the Alcazar. King Pedro "the Cruel," amidst a great deal of royal and family intrigue and assassination attempts, built a royal palace decorated by Moorish artisans imported from regions of Spain not yet reconquered by the Christians. The result: elaborate carvings and tilings that cover virtually every interior surface of the palace.

Interior patio
From the private quarters in the Alcazar; gives an idea of how much area is covered by the intricate interior detailing.
