WHO AM I?

Though we be apart,
we are but a heartbeat away.
I have come to share a Truth
upon this blessed day.
Who am I,
this man you see
gazing back at you
through Eternity?
What were the dreams,
the thoughts,
the fears,
deep in the heart of
my yesteryears?
Forced to watch
as our loved ones died,
exile the reward
for those who survived.
Victims are we
of yesterday's greed,
with only forgiveness
can we ever be freed.
'I forgive
and ask to be
forgiven.'

Held within the eyes of this soul
is the light of an unspoken understanding,
a softening kindness reflected back to
an unkind world.
Within this heart now lives forgiveness and love,
where hurt and sadness once dwelled.
Lined upon this face is the gentle strength of
enduring much and overcoming more
than can ever be spoken.
Within the silence of this soul rests the
secret of the Eternal Journey...
...All paths lead to One Path,
for there is but One Truth and at the point of origin,
its Light is colorless;
but as it filters through the prism of our own
consciousness it takes on a myriad of hues.
'Oh Lord, my God
grant me the blessing of colorblindness
that I might come to know the
One True Light.'
