REMEMBRANCE DAY

The valleys we walk,
the mountains we climb
Seem to be endless
as we travel through time.
Our souls are challenged,
leaving our bodies so drained
Only to be tested
time and again.
Surrounded by fear,
our faith must shine bright
To lead others from darkness
and into the Light.

Three hundred and sixty-five grief stricken days have passed
since that horrific morning...
...a year of sadness and tears, shock and anger;
but it has also been a year that has brought us closer together
as a nation of one people...
forever unified on that terrible day...
and the tie that binds us together is Love...

This is the Day of Remembrance...

and if you think back to that day, you will discover that it is
not our collective outrage nor our call to arms that will endure
but rather it is our genuine Love for one another,
regardless of all our petty squabbles.
On that day, we became one family and as one family did we
grieve and commit ourselves to each other.
Love, my dearest friends, is the bond that forever endures...
...hate may destroy the body but Love belongs to the soul
and hatred can never defile the purity of the soul.

Out of Love, not hate, do we choose to remember.
