UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Though we be apart,
we are but a heartbeat away.
I have come to share a Truth
upon this blessed day.

'I cried aloud for I had no shoes;
then I met a man who had no feet.'

I once knew of a woman and a child who understood the deep sorrow and suffering of Life.
It was twenty-five years ago, that she brought her son into this world,
and for all those years he suffered the fate of a soul held prisoner within
the confines of a ravaged body.
He could not move, his spine was twisted and bent beyond imagination.
His tiny bones were merely draped with a gaunt covering of pale skin.
He could not speak nor could he hear.
Totally helpless from the moment of his birth, he was dependent upon
a mother's love for his every need.
Selflessly did she go about tending to the care of Philip; and so for
twenty-five years she alone fed, bathed and nurtured the soul that
had chosen her as Mother.
When the lessons of Philip's life were completed, our Father-God called
him Home that he might begin to prepare himself to master still larger lessons.

Now many would say what a wasted life, one that should never have been;
and when viewed through the peephole of logic, who could argue?
But I say unto you that we cannot rightly judge that which
is beyond our knowledge.
We are not allowed to peer into the past or future lives of these two souls.
How can we attempt to know the secret lessons learned by a muted soul
that cannot communicate through earthly language?
Only Philip knows the lessons he was sent to learn or to teach;
only his mother can fathom what she has given or taken from this
esoteric relationship.

Perhaps they were being taught the interdependence of Unconditional Love,
and oft times the giver and the receiver are but one and the same.
Could it not be that each played the assigned role needed in order for their
souls to grow and expand to encompass Love and Compassion for all
who suffer?
The lessons of every life are important and the soul that sits silently
within a withered body may be teaching or learning higher lessons
than the most holy of saints revered by men.

All Peace and Love to you dear Philip.

You were a blessing to your mother's life,
as she was also the blessing of yours.
