Autumn 1997 Focus Groups

We conduct focus groups with STEP students throughout the year to solicit their opinions about the program. We also observe classroom activity, administer surveys, and conduct individual interviews.

This focus group was designed to solicit information about the autumn quarter experience, concerning their Stanford courses, the placement process, working relationships with Cooperating Teachers and Supervisors, and so on.

It is a powerful tool to solicit information, test ideas, and confirm or falsify theories. Here are a few pictures of STEP students who were generous enough to share their time and ideas with us in one of our autumn focus groups.
