Research has absolutely been one of the best parts of my Stanford experience. The following is a brief summary of some of the research I've conducted. I'm looking forward to having this page grow with time!

Metro Maps: I am currently working as a research assistant alongside Jeff Jacobs and Heidi Wang under Dr. Dafna Shahaf and Professor Jure Leskovec (in the SNAP group) on a really cool research project to build improved metro-style maps of news timelines based on given queries using concepts of map coherence, timeline coherence, coverage, and connectivity. I've been having fun connecting this research with academic coursework!

NIFTY: I worked with Sandy Huang and Pong Eksombatchai under Rok Sosic and Professor Jure Leskovec on a research project to find mutations of a single piece of information across the daily news cycle (and over many years). We have a website that updates nightly with new quotes for the day - a fantastic and somewhat surreal way to stay on top of current events! We also worked very hard last quarter to submit a paper to the WWW 2013 conference, where it was recently accepted! :) [URL]

The Intelligent Calendar: I worked with Zach Cain and Jacob Bank under Profesor Yoav Shoham on a research project to build an intelligent calendar, using logical theories of intention and experimental results on human psychology. I've had fun scheduling events in my life on our prototype calendar. We presented a WIP paper at CHI last April!
