C.V.Krishnakumar Iyer
Thanks for visiting my site. I am C.V.Krishnakumar, a second year Masters student in the Computer Science Dept at Stanford University . Prior to this I spent four wonderful years at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus. I have had the opportunity to intern at DRHR( Division of Remote Handling and Robotics) at Bhabha Atomic Research Center and at HP Labs India, Bangalore. This summer I interned at Apple, Inc. in the Internet Services Group.
I am interested in Information Retrieval, Machine Learning and Data Mining.

URL Recommendation Based on Asymmetric Tag Similarity and Diffusion-Based Grouping ( PDF ){ Jan 09 -- Mar 09 }
Implemented an URL Recommendation system by analysis of tag similarity using data from ShareThis and Delicious using MapReduce and Partition based Joins on top of the Aster Cluster.

STAIR : System for Topical and Aggregated Information Retrieval (HP Labs Tech Report PDF )
Developed the architecture and the prototype of STAIR, on top of Lucene; involving the application of Focused Crawling to provide personalized, consolidated information as an aggregated PDF document to the user in response to a query.
Mentor : Dr. Krishnan Ramanathan, HP Labs India Bangalore.
