Welcome to the blog of Can Sar, a Stanford CS major. This blog is made up of my thoughts on Computer Science and the computer industry, as well as ever exciting tales from my life.
I returned from Istanbul yesterday evening to witness the tragic loss of the amazing Portugal to a Greek team with an impeccable defense with a 0:1 (European Cup). I will blog more about my stay in Istanbul later, to focus on a topic of current importance: BlogTalk 2.0.
It is still early in the morning, but it seems that almost everyone is here, which is good, since the conference should have started a few minutes ago. We are currently still waiting for a few speakers, while I am watching the room with interest, trying to figure out who is local and who not, and see if I can make out any familiar faces. I am also intrigued with my new battery, which is holding out exceptionally well for now (currently displaying 4 hours).
I feel that I knew more people at the beginning of VM '04, and its weird for me that this is set in Vienna. The atmosphere is differently very different, more laptops, more Macs for sure, and definitely more digital cameras. I have never seen this many people online in iChats Rendezvous window. More soon.
