Welcome to the blog of Can Sar, a Stanford CS major. This blog is made up of my thoughts on Computer Science and the computer industry, as well as ever exciting tales from my life.
I have been here for quite a while now, but have not been able to really settle yet, because I was busy leading Tristan around until a few days ago, and now Joanna is here for a few days. I started reading understanding the Virtual Memory Manager and Linux Kernel Development, and am liking both books very much. I have to hurry a bit with reading the former, because I was supposed to review it for OSNews a week ago, but the amount of work I had for finals made this impossible. I hope the fact that I know have more time to write a better review will outweigh this.
I have also been trying to download all 4 Fedore Core 2 installation disks, but apparently my base station drops its connection every hour or so, and kills my download, so I will have to find a way around this. I do, however, have a laptop on which I can install Fedora, so this is significantly more exciting than running it under Virtual PC.
