I just realized that Google can give definitions of words using define: word syntax. define: blog brings up the definition of what a weblog is.
Though this service still has some quirks with varying search results (blog shows up, while weblog does not), it is quite useful. I should really read Google Hacks, a great book for finding other cool ways to making full use of all of Google's capabilities.
