Welcome to the blog of a Stanford CS major. Please give me feedback on the new design, and ideas on what to call this blog .
In high school I had great disdain for electronic music, especially for the intellectual French electronica duo Air. I used to think that making electronic music is as simple as stringing together a few melodies made by others, and saving the entire thing as a file. People who called this high art annoyed me, and Air definitely fell in this group. The terrible quality of popular German Electronica did not help at all.
I realized how wrong I was and started to grow fond of electronic music shortly after entering college, but Air was still a difficult matter for me.
After seeing The Virgin Suicides for which Air did the soundtrack, I realized how much I liked their music. I have learned to not judge something without understanding it long ago, but have discovered calm and smooth Electronica only recently. Now, after getting both Moon Safari and 10 kHz Legend I am lost in the sounds of Air.
