Sooooooo Cold!

Hell just froze over. Except that I don't believe in Hell, and that everyone knew that Apple was going to announce iTunes for Windows today. But the significance of this should not be understated or even worse, ignored. In recent months Apple has become increasingly good at making world changing announcements, coming up with new innovations that might change the lives of many computer users.
The iPod, the Music Store, the G5, Panther, the Music Store for Windows,......, are all amazing sucesses, and it does not seem llike Apple is going to stop. Apple is partnering up with AOL (iTunes & AIM integration), and Pepsi (a free song for every Pepsi you buy, starting February) and is quickly getting everyone onto its side. There is still a certain danger of Microsoft launching an alternative, but as Jeff Bezos says: "The winner is not the first to market, but the first to market and first to scale," and Apple is definitely getting there. The future will definitely hold more great news more Music fans, but for now you should all download iTunes for Windows.

I respectfully disagree - the Mac music store right now is really shitty.

The selection at the music store is not so good. The business model seems fairly reasonable though; they seem to have figured out how to offer music cheaply and conveniently enough that it's not really worth cracking the copy protections. Now I just need to find a good word processor for the Mac...

Michael I agree, a word processor is REALLY needed. m$ Word is bad enough on windows, but with all the refresh problems on OSX, using it is like sticking my head in a fucking blender.
