Welcome to the blog of Can Sar, a Stanford CS major. This blog is made up of my thoughts on Computer Science and the computer industry, as well as ever exciting tales from my life.
Today was pretty uneventful but still nice. First of all my e-mail account was spammed for the first time, but I guess nowadays that is pretty standard, and OSX Mail and Stanford filter pretty nicely, so everything should be fine. To all you Stanford people, how much spam do you get?
I've been reading up on Loro RPG Mafia, and it looks like so much fun. Sara did a great job of organizing it, and I hope they are going to do it again.
The day in Nimes was very relaxed, mostly because of the high temperatures. We had lunch at the Jardin de Fontaines, and then went to Les Halles to shop and cool off. We bought some stuff and then went to an electronics/computer store and got some brochures. We then went to the next McDonalds got a hamburger and milkshake and looked through the brochures. After some time the security guy (yes, the McDonald's had a security guy) talked to us in French, and it seemed like he was going to tell us to leave because we were staying for too long. He seemed to change his mind when he heard that we were not French, but we left anyway. I am getting really annoyed at French McDonald's.
We also talked to people at home today, and apparently Babsi is doing driving school right now, which is a funny coincidece, since four of us are trying to get our license right now. I hope it will all go well.
Tomorrow we will spend around seven hours on various trains, including the Eurostar through the Eurotunnel which should be great fun. More updates will follow from London.
hahahah. you got one spam message? i get over a hundred a day, at the bare minimum. i just filter them all into the trash and dont read any of them. it drives me nuts. *hates spam* spam should be illegal.
