Welcome to the blog of a Stanford CS major. Please give me feedback on the new design, and ideas on what to call this blog .
Yesterday Nora and I decided to stay in Dinan, because we were too exhausted from our trip to St. Malo. That turned out to be an excellent idea, because as soon as we arrived near the cathedral of Dinan (the top of the hill on which Dinan is located) the temperature got so high that even sitting in the shade was unbearable because of the terribly hot wind. We bought salad, cheese, salami and baguette and had a wonderful self-made lunch in the shade - the streets were empty: People were hiding in their apartments or refridgerators. We somehow managed to make it back to the hostel, by then it was so hot that life outside of buildings with air-condition had become impossible. We got a blanket and sat in the hostels garden, right by a small river, eating french fruit and reading. The hours we spent there were great, and we were happy not to be sitting in some bus.
Today we were planning to go to Mt. St. Michel, which is a cathedral on top of an island/hill that is a famous French landmark. Due to heavy traffic we missed our connection bus, and were left in St. Malo wearing shorts and t-shirts in cold weather and light rain. Due to Nora's persistend optimism we did greatly enjoy our stay, but were still happy to return to the hostel were we made pizza. After getting some rest, we went and ate dinner by the river, which was very beatiful.
Tomorrow we'll try to go to Mt. St. Michel again. Tomorrow there will be an update with some thoughts on BattleFungus (the game I'm working on), next year's projects, and other stuff.
