Why am I so happy?
For some reason I am really really happy right now. There are various reasons for this.
- Finished 2 Problemsets/Programs
- First of all I finished both a CS 107 LISP Program, and a CS 103B Problemset. Though the former was giving me lots of troubles, I found LISP to be fascinating, and will study it further before next year (probably the same for Python and ML, which we are covering tomorrow). Turing Machines (103B) are very interesting and fun, I'm very excited about CS 154, which covers them extensively.
- Lots of New Music
- After exclusively listening to the Matrix Soundtrack for more than a week, I got some new CDs, mostly great soundtracks. I especially like The City of Angels Soundtrack, because I liked to movie a lot. Seeing Lake Tahoe, after watching the movie gave me a weird feeling, a great happy/sad movement, one of those moments, in which it's hard to express your feelings, because they are so strong. I have to go there with Nora some day.
- Lots of Friends
- I would much rather have a few great friends, than many OK friends. Fortunately, I feel like I have both now. I still have my friends Thomas and Matthias from elementary and middle school respectively, and Lukas from high school. In addition to that I have around 6 great friends from high school, who I will see again in summer. And more recently, I have found great friends here at Stanford. I have lots of great friends in the dorm, both freshman and upperclassmen, who I know well, and get along with great.
I also have friends in Gavilan, some of which I do not know that well, but still like, as well as lots of people I know from class. Many of them are very cool, especially the CS people.
- Seeing Nora
- The quarter is allmost over, and in just week I will see Nora again. I miss her so much, and I cannot wait to see her again. I am incredibly looking forward to spending the entire summer with her. No words could ever express this.
