Why I'm Glad I didn't go to Frosh Fest

Today was apparently the day of one of the biggest campus parties of the year: Froshfest. I am very glad I went to see The Matrix Reloaded instead. I don't really like the big organized parties where everyone says it's going to be great, and all these supposedly great things will happen.
The 10 minutes we spent at the Slav party yesterday were fun, because it was kind of a spontaneous thing of some Loro people trying to get away from the progressive. It would be nice if parties did not always feature the same kind of Rap, but something like alternative, rock, punk, techno, or even just pop.
On a more personal note, going to parties is really no fun without Nora. I'm looking forward to summer break.

I've never been a big fan of those types of parties either. It's all about just hanging with friends, playing interesting games or watching interesting movies/anime/etc. Those parties are too big to be anything other than impersonal, especially since they're usually so loud that you can't really talk with whatever group you go with. I suppose it would help if I liked to dance more, too.
