The purpose for this publication is to acquaint the public with our local rare and endangered flora. This meets a longtime need in providing either color photographs or illustrations of our sensitive plants. Protection and education are long term goals of our local chapter of the California Native Plant Society and this book will help fulfill this goal. By becoming familiar with the sensitive plants in San Mateo and Santa Clara county it will aid in continued protection of these species. Many of these species also occur in the surrounding counties of: Marin, San Francisco, Alameda, Santa Cruz and Monterey. The Book Includes:
