3/2/96 Pinnacles with Dennis Erik Strom, Evan Bigall, and Andy (they
climbed mostly separately).  Rains stopped; time to get in shape!
Basically, the usual tour of routes we have wired.  All leads were by Dennis.
- Wet Kiss 5.9  (the standard warmup)
- The Big Pucker 5.10d TR  Dennis remarked that it felt the easiest it
  ever had.
- Between a Rock and a Hard Place 5.11a  Some falls/hangs for DES; a
  fall for CC at the upper crux.
- Broken Arrow 5.10d  The finishing moves to the arete are slightly harder
  than they used to be, due to some loose holds that are now gone.
- Stupendous Man 5.10a  We both heel hooked the overhang facing different
  directions.
- Mammary Pump 5.11b TR (attempt)  We both had to hang.  Not much hand
  strength left at this point.
- Lithium 5.11b TR (attempt)  After several tries, we each managed to
  free the start.  Insufficient strength for the upper crux.  Lin Murphy
  was there with Sue Edwards; Lin did a nice sidecling through the start.
- Jorgie's Crack 5.9  Evan and Andy joined us on this to finish the day.
  DES took an extra lap, since we had teased him about stepping on a piton.

3/9 Pinnacles with Dennis Erik.
Dennis and I had another good pump-out at the Pinnacles -- didn't flail
as much as the last time.
- Wet Kiss 5.9  I led for once
- Big Pucker 5.10d  DES TR
- arete between Wet Kiss and Big Pucker 5.10c  CC TR  A new route; didn't
  use chalk, to keep it a secret!  (probably too crowded to bolt).
- Between a Rock and a Hard Place 5.11a  DES led, one fall at upper crux
- Jorgie's Crack and Continuation 5.10b  DES led
- The Verdict 5.11b  DES led (we both traversed off below crux to rest)
- Traumatize 5.10c  DES led, I fell at crux and traversed off
- Richnak's Revenge 5.11a  DES led, one fall at crux
- P.O.D. 5.11a  DES led, a couple falls and draw grabs.  I just barely TRed.

- Hawaiian Noises 5.10c  CC attempted TR, several falls and hangs
