Pinnacles:  Roof, Dead Bird Crack, Baby Blues   2/3/91

For some reason I'm starting to get bored down there -- will have to start
trying harder stuff or head for the Valley!  On Sunday I went down with
John Novat.  We did:  Roof 5.10a (removed all slings but not the 1/2" Friend,
although I tried to get it for a long time), Jorgie's Crack 5.9, Dead Bird
Crack 5.9, and Monolith Direct 5.7.  John took a fall on all except the last.
Also toproped Baby Blues 5.11c first try using the sequence I saw last week,
and did a left hand finish also.  As Lester from Poland said, "the guy from
Palo Alto always downrates, and the guy from Monterrey always uprates."
Pretty uncrowded and non-dusty due to Saturday's rain.  Started out foggy
like last week and cleared nicely.
