Granite Creek

Solid granite boulders and small cliffs of good quality in a number of locations can be found scattered up and down the coast south of Carmel. The Granite Creek climbing area is near the granite creek bridge, approx. 6 miles south of Point Lobos State Park on Highway 1. The rocks are located on the beach 300 feet south of the Granite Creek Bridge (the name is painted on the bridge). The other areas are to the north and south of there.

A top rope is useful for most of the routes even though they are not that tall, due to the rough landings. It's best to come here when the tide is low.
