Spatial History GIS position

The Stanford Spatial History Project s seeking a GIS specialist. A summary of the responsibilities is listed below:

The GIS Specialist will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing geospatial data for a half a dozen different research projects in spatial history. This will involve creating and managing personal and enterprise geodatabases, performing spatial analyses, and producing maps for print and the web. The position will also require essential data management duties such as performing regular database maintenance, managing logins, and running back-ups. The GIS Specialist will also be partially responsible for conceptualizing how to structure interesting, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets in GIS. The GIS Specialist will work closely with students, staff, and faculty in an open and creative office environment with a strong research orientation.
