Google's release of Streetview raises discussion around issues of privacy. But they also release Mapplets. And immersivemedia pushes streetview even further. Take a look at their all-around camera.
geotag:
- Eye-Fi produces a 1GB SD card that can geolocate photos taken on it. This is an incredibly smart and easy way to add location to photos and still use any camera you choose.
- geo:truc finds coordinates of a location
- Map Rectifier, to georeference your map.
syndicate:
- with mapufacture geo-aggregator. Incporporates historical maps.
- GeoServer is an Open Source server that connects your information to the Geospatial Web.
consume:
- OpenLayers, for example Mumbai
- Mapstraction is a library that provides a common API for various javascript mapping APIs to enable switching from one to another as smoothly as possible. Developers can code their applications once, and then easily switch mapping provider based on project needs, terms and conditions, and new functionality.
- Poly9 has released a free 3D flash-based globe called Free Earth. It uses Flash, but requires no other download and cross-browser.

The Garmin Communicator Plugin lets you connect your Garmin GPS with your favorite website. It can send and retrieve data from any supported website. For example, it talks to geocaching.com. Win only for now, Mac expected for Q3/07.
