• Undergraduate research on translation initiation in plants in Karen S. Browning's lab at UT, 2000-2004
• Summer intern at M.D. Anderson Science Park in Mark Bedford's lab, identifying new protein arginine methyltransferase substrates, 2002
• Rotations in Walbot and Amieva labs at Stanford, 2004-2005

Research Interests

• Gene therapy safety
• Localization, degradation, folding and regulation of integrase in mammalian cells
• Duration of integrase expression in vivo
• Hemophilia gene therapy

Personal Interests

• All things Texas, especially Longhorn football
• Exploring the bay area
• Gardening in pots on our porch and in a plot at the Stanford Community Farm
• Hanging out with my husband Eric, our adorable yellow lab and two entertaining orange cats.
