I am a postdoctoral researcher in Stanford University’s Program on Food Security and the Environment (FSE). I study the links between energy poverty and food and nutrition security, the mechanisms by which energy services can help alleviate poverty, and the environmental impact of food production systems. Trained as an experimental physicist, I am also interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of technologies for poverty alleviation and agricultural adaptation.

Much of my current research focuses on the Sudano-Sahel region of sub-Saharan Africa.
