When a Library is Academic
by Brian Kunde
I walked into the library,
And what did I find there,
But students lounging lazily
In every nook and stair.

One exercised his pen, I saw,
Upon his study carrel:
Another exercised his jaw
Quite loudly, to his peril.

Some there shot rubber bands at lights,
Or paper airplanes flew.
A few of them engaged in fights,
While some their noses blew.

It did astound me not to see,
However I did look,
A member of that company
Who studied in a book!
