an L-II's Lament

An L-II at computer sat,
Attempting to log on.
He tried to call up RLIN Cat,
But it was down, dog-gone!
He did get OCLC, but
Ellipses tried his temper.
He couldn't get on Socrates,
'Cause Forsythe had distemper.
At last resort, he NOTIS tried,
But soon off-line was scooted,
At which he just broke down and cried:
Then gamely, he rebooted.
