Non-Roman Materials
by Brian Kunde
Materials in Slavic,
Finno-Ugric, or Moravic,
To a cataloger are an aggravation.

When books are Japanesy,
Or Chinesy, they're not easy
To transcribe to Roman as a culmination.

Some publishers will send you
Books in Hebrew (you will need brew:
Typing backwards is a trying avocation).

And pamphlets in Dravidian,
Make typists go viridian:
The talent for it's thin within this nation.

But we puff ourselves like Patton
When the alphabet is Latin:
After others, it's a cause for celebration.

And heart-strings go a-tinglish
If a book appears in English:
An incident of general jubilation.
