LASU BROWN BAG ON COLLECTIONS #4 NEXT WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3

The popular brown bag series on collections continues next Wednesday, with speakers Mary Jane Parrine, SUL Curator for the Romance Language Collections and Dr. Ramon Myers, Hoover Institution Senior Fellow and Curator of the East Aisan Collection. Mary Jane will focus her comments on the changing scene in French and Italian studies; Ramon Myers will spotlight the rare and unique materials contained in the East Asian collection archives at Hoover. Mark your calendars for this guaranteed stress-buster!

Please note a change in location for this brown bag: instead of Ida Green, we will be in Room 403, Sweet Hall. The time remains the same, noon-1:00.

IMPLEMENTATION OF PIN ACCESS TO FOLIO DELAYED UNTIL MAY 1

You are probably aware that ITSS has been informing Stanford community members that as of March 31 of this year, people accessing Folio via personal Folio accounts (when a user types FOLIO at the account prompt) will be required to input a PIN (personal identification number) associated with their University ID number to logon. In order to insure that community members are properly prepared for this change, ITSS and SUL/AIR have decided to delay the implementation of this change until May 1st.

Almost all students already have a PIN because it is required for their use of the Axess system. If a student does not have a PIN they should go to the Registrar's Information window in the Old Union lobby to get one.

Faculty and staff who do not have a PIN (a PIN is currently required for use of Prism; if you have a Prism PIN, that is the same PIN that will be required for access to Folio) can contact ITSS Customer Assistance at 5-8181.

This change will not affect access to Folio via public library kiosks.
