Paul Ewald Kunde(3), was born February 3, 1906 in Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota, the son of Albert Edward Kunde(2) and Helena R. (Hunke) Kunde.
Paul resided at 200 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City, from at least 1925 through 1929. During this period he worked for the Marysville Sand Company, 414 2nd, Marysville, until at least 1927. His occupation was given as engineer in 1925 and mechanic in 1927. In 1929 he was a laborer with no employer listed.
Paul married, on October 12, 19-- at ------, ------, Grace Wilma Brown. She was born July 24, 1905 in Marysville, Yuba County, California, the daughter of ------ ------ Brown and ------ ------ (Muldoon) Brown.

Paul was of Yuba City at the time of his mother's death in January, 1941.
By 1942 the Kundes were living in a house on Rural Route 2, Yuba City, at 1005 Live Oak Road or Highway. They continued to live on Live Oak afterwards, though no house number is shown in the directories after 1942 until 1954, when their residence was shown as a house at 1181 Live Oak Highway. They lived in this house for the remainder of their married life. The name of the street was changed to Live Oak Boulevard by 1960.
In 1942 Paul was working as a driver for Associated Transportation Company, 442 B Street, Yuba City, a trucking firm he is said to have helped form. J. E. Morrison was head of the company in 1942, but by 1946 it was being run by F. R. Hurlbert, Paul Kunde, and Robert M. Carroll in partnership. They operated the company together through at least 1948, but by 1950 the partnership had been reduced to just Kunde and Carroll.
Paul was of Yuba City in 1955, when his brother Otto died.
Paul was principle owner and operator of Associated Transportation Company in Yuba City until his death. By 1957 the firm was incorporated, and from that year on the directories show him as president of the company. Carroll is shown as secretary-treasurer in 1957, secretary from 1961-1964, and vice-president from 1965 on.
Paul died November 27, 1976, aged 70 years, in Marysville, Yuba County, California. Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. November 30 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel, at which Rev. Harry Vise of the First Methodist Church officiated. The Associated Transportation Company was closed that day in Paul's memory. Inurnment was at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter County, California.
Grace Kunde continued to reside in the family home after her husband's death, and was living there in 1977.
Grace married (second), on March 17, 1977 at Marysville, Yuba County, California, Austin Clifford Matheny, a retired U.S. Army colonel. He was born July 27, 1904 in ------, California, the son of Edward B----- Matheny and Jennie ------ (Nelson) Matheny. Austin was a past patron of the Marysville chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and also belonged to the Corinthian Lodge No. 9 of the Masons, the Scottish Rite bodies of Sacramento, the Ben Ali Temple of the Shrine of Sacramento, the Central Sacramento Valley Shrine Club, and the Peach Tree Country Club.
Austin C. Matheny's last residence was 1181 Live Oak Boulevard, Yuba City. He died Wednesday, January 20, 1982, aged 77, at Rideout Hospital, Marysville, Yuba County, California. Funeral services with military honors were held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 23, 1982 at Sierra View Mortuary. Officers of the Corinthian Lodge No. 9 officiated at the burial services at Sierra View Memorial Park.
Grace Matheny was of Yuba City at the time of her husband's death.
Grace married (third), on ---- --, 19-- at Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, Loren Blain Mosier, a retired construction company official. He was born March 19, 1910 in ------, California, the son of ------ ------ Mosier and ------ ------ (Johnson) Mosier.
Grace Mosier's last residence was in Yuba City. She died Tuesday, May 18, 1993, aged 87, at Rideout Hospital in Marysville, Yuba County, California. Family services were held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 21, 1993, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Herman Wendler of Grace United Methodist Church officiated at the service. Inurnment was in Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, Sutter County, California.
Loren Mosier was of Yuba City at the time of his wife's death. He died April 24, 1999, aged 89 years, in ------, Yuba County, California.
