Uppity Women Unite!!!
Mom, Geek & Motorcycle Rider
Yup, that's me!
I'm a suburban mother of 2, who is madly in love with her husband.
What can I say? He makes me laugh! I also ride a motorcycle.
That's not unusual, I realize, but it was when first got my motorcycle
license as a sweet young thing, back in the 70's.
This picture is several years old, and shows myself and my family on a motorcycle
camping trip. My son now towers over me.
My current motorcycle is a '99 FXDX, in basic black. I've kept it stock,
right down to the pipes, so it's pretty quiet, especially for a Harley. I
call it "Bubba the Stealth Bike." I also have a JinCheng M50 Monkey
Bike. I actually bought that for my kids, but they've never ridden
it (yet!). I guess seeing Mom pulling wheelies on their bike has them hesitant
as to whether they want to ride it.
I work at Stanford University as a Computer Consultant. It's an interesting
job, and I work with a great group of people.
I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area, where
the weather allows me to ride year round. Life is good!!!
I'll bet you'd like to see some links!

The background of this page is a Knightia fossil, which is approximately
50 million years old. We dug out during a visit to Warfield Fossil Quarries,
near Kemmerer, Wyoming. This quarry is part of the Green River Formation.
