My life

Born and brought up in india, continued my studies till +2 in my home town before moving to indian institute of technology, bombay for persuing B. Tech. in chemical engineering. I belong to a higher middle class family with both of my parents in academia. My mom is my role model. With her strict rules and punctual nature, i flourished and learnt many lessons of life except some of them, which i learnt later at IIT Bombay.

During my Undergraduate Studies, i got the opportunity to work with some of the best profs of chemical engineering in India as a kiddo or as a vice president of our chemical engineering association. After completion of 3rd year, i did my summer internship at TU/e, Holland . During this trip, i roamed around some of the most beautiful cities of europe like paris, frankfurt and amsterdam. I would like to go to switzerland on my D-day..:)

After my Undergraduation, I moved to Stanford for higher studies. Currently, i am working in a biophysics group to develop a theoretical model of chromatin, under the guidance of Andrew Spakowitz. While working in this group, i get the opportunity to interact with some of the big names in this area like Nobel Laureate Prof. Roger D. Kornberg & Prof. Aaron Straight at Stanford, Prof. Carlos Bustamante Group at University of California Berkeley, and Shirley Mihardja at University of California San Francisco. Being at Stanford, i also get opportunity to play golf on the same golf course where Tiger Woods improved his golf swings and rocked the world of golf. A "perfect" practice makes a man perfect, so you'll find me practicing golf every alternate day at Stanford driving range..:) I wish to be the 1st indian (2nd, if you consider Vijay Singh as an indian too) to win PGA tour. I won't mind being even 10th, yes i know i am ambitious, a true day dreamer..

I work out 3 days a week in addition to my other extra-curriculars because i believe in "A healthy mind in a healthy body". I also like hanging out with friends, dancing in parties while drinking alcoholic beverages as little as possible. I don't like drinking hence i avoid as much as possible. Life is beautiful, enjoy each and every bit of it. After all.....

"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away"
