BackgroundI was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia, in Southern Africa. In 1980, Rhodesia became Zimbabwe. One day I will return to Africa for a good long visit.

When I was nine, my family moved to Vancouver Canada. Three years later we became Canadian Citizens.

| I went to Cariboo Hill Secondary School, then on to study Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University. As part of the Engineering Science program, I worked in numerous companies including Northern Telecom, Creo, and Photon Systems (Burnaby, BC). However, the highlight was working for the Canadian Space Agency, where I spent 7 weeks at NASA in Houston working with their Reduced Gravity Program. |

Having graduated, I worked for a year with many friends at
Spectrum Signal Processing,
before heading to Stanford University.
Life at Stanford is well-documented on these web pages, including my
Research Page.
