I'm a PhD student
in Linguistics
at Stanford
University. Prior to this, I studied Computer Science and
Management Science & Engineering, also at Stanford. However, a
desire to study human (rather than computer) languages, and to learn
more about how we manage to process them and understand one
another, drew me into the world of linguistics. I think of myself
as both a linguist and a cognitive scientist.
Broadly put, I'm interested in psycholinguistics, semantics, and computational linguistics (particularly natural language understanding). I especially enjoy working with South Asian languages. Please see the Research section for more information on my research interests as well as descriptions of projects I have worked on or am currently engaged in.
