Create Protocol
The eProtocol system can be accessed using Internet
Explorer on a Windows or Macintosh machine. The URL is http://aplac.stanford.edu.
You will be asked to sign in using your SUNet
ID. Note: Turn off all pop-up blockers. This system depends on pop-up windows to complete various subsections of the application form.
Once you are logged into the system, you will see
the eProtocols Home Page. Click on the Home Page shown below to practice
creating a protocol.

The Home page is a sort of "dashboard"
where you start from. After you create a protocol, or are listed
as personnel on a protocol, the protocols will show on the Home
page under the Protocol Events header. The current status of each
protocol will show in the Protocol Event column. We'll look at how
to use this column in depth later in this tutorial.
Once a protocol is approved, it can
be accessed via the Approved Protocols hyperlink on the Home page.
Also, if you want to create a new protocol that is very similar
to an existing protocol, you may use the Clone Protocol button to
copy an existing protocol you have access to.
Now let's take a closer look at the
Protocol Application Form. Click the Next arrow to continue.
