Are You Using?

Are You Using?

The "Are You Using?" asks nine questions about what your protocol involves. In other words, does your protocol use:

  • Live animals for teaching?
  • Dead animals for teaching?
  • Collaboration with another Institution?
  • Biohazardous Agents?
  • Radiological Agents?
  • Medical Equipment also used for human patient/subjects?
  • Animals in human patient/subject areas?
  • Toxic Agents?

If you answer no to these questions, then the follow up questions will be greyed out (not editable). If you answer yes, the follow up questions will be active and you are expected to give additional information. Some of the follow up questions use tables similar to those found in the Species section where you can add more than one agent or device to the same protocol. Click the Add button and a pop-up window will appear with all of the fields for each item associated with the protocol.

Another thing that's important to remember is something that's common to all web pages. Round radio buttons - - allow you to choose one answer. Square checkboxes - - allow you to select multiple items in that category.

Next we'll look at the Funding screen and another example of adding multiple items to a table. Click the Next arrow to continue.
