In Short

I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Wireless System Laboratory (WSL) in the Electrical Engineering department at Stanford University working under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Goldsmith. I received my M.Sc. from the same department in June 2012 and my Diploma degree (5 years degree) in the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in June 2010.

Current Research Project

My main current research project is Null Space Learning in MIMO Communications. Learning the null space of a MIMO channel has become an important problem in wireless communications. The knowledge of the null space enables a MIMO communication system to transmit in the same band simultaneously with another by utilizing separate spatial dimensions; i.e. by restricting its signal to the null space, it can zero out the interference to the other system. In this project we propose fast and accurate schemes for null space learning inside the framework on Cognitive Radios, Spatial MAC and Cellulal Wireless networks.

In 2012 together with Dr. Noam and Prof. Goldsmith we participated in the Interdigital Innovation Challenge (I2C) competition with the project Null Space Learning Algorithms and we won the 3rd place. More on this project can be found in: Short Description, Interview.
