Hello, my name is Alex Morgan. I am a researcher and PhD student in Biomedical Informatics at Stanford. My advisor is Prof. Atul Butte, a
pediatric endocrinologist and bioinformatician. His lab has a special
focus on high dimensionality representations and analysis of the
pathophysiology of disease. My research interests center on the
application of datamining, natural language processing, and mathematics to
knowledge discovery and analysis problems in systems biology and medicine.
Because public service is also an important part of science, I help run
the volunteer staffed Arbor Free Clinic and work to translate advances in biomedical and computational sciences to improve the health and quality of life for all members of the community.
