    Short Bio Angel Hoffman Abusleme was born in Santiago Chile in 1975. He attended Colegio San Pedro Nolasco between 1981 and 1992. In 1993, he enrolled the School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 1999, he was awarded the Shell Scholarship for graduate students. In 2000, he graduated from Electrical Engineering and received a M.Sc. degree in the field of Automatic Control, both with maximum distinction.

    In 2001, he was hired as an instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. During that year, he obtained the "Ingeniero Mejor Graduado Año 2000" award, given by the Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile, and "Roberto Ovalle Aguirre" award, from the Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile.

    In 2003, he obtained the Presidente de la República scholarship, for a Ph.D. degree. As of September 2003, he is a graduate student at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of IC Design. The expected date to return to Chile is September 2008.
