Getting on the Web at Stanford
Before You Begin
Get a SUNet ID (If you don't have one already.)
A full-service SUNet ID automatically gets you a Stanford Unix account. A Stanford Unix account gives you a Unix home directory. Your home directory holds your WWW directory, which the www.stanford.edu servers use to find and display your web pages.
